Monroe Bank was founded in 1892 with
the desire to provide outstanding customer service and to
remain rooted in our community.
We continue that tradition today, with our “community”
growing to encompass Monroe, Jackson, Lawrence, and Indianapolis-area
counties.
As a locally owned and operated bank, we're committed to
keeping important financial decisions within our communities.
Decisions on mortgage
loans, investment
services, and small
business start-up loans are made by local people—your
neighbors and friends.
One of the main ways we serve our community is by recognizing
employees who take part in local service. Many Monroe Bank
employees serve on the boards of community organizations and
take active leadership roles within their towns and cities.
Volunteer activities are at the heart of Monroe Bank: Each
year we take a half-day off for our annual Day
of Caring. Teams of Monroe Bank employees participate
in a wide variety of service projects, from community improvement
projects to helping the elderly or poor.
Our employees provide 5,000 to 6,000
hours of community service each year, and we provide an average
of $80,000 to our communities in annual corporate contributions.
We also sponsor numerous events in our communities, such
as our quarterly seminar series Financial
Choices for Women Today and an annual Economic
Forum. Our Main Office hosts an Art
Gallery to showcase the work of area artists.
We want to be your bank of choice. With our banking expertise,
commitment to our community, and our excellent customer service,
at Monroe Bank You're Worth More.
