Monroe Bank provides Online Banking for both personal and business accounts. All account inquiries, transfers, e-mail and other bank information services are FREE. There is no monthly charge and no per transaction fee.

You can access any of your personal or business Monroe Bank accounts, including: Checking, Savings, Certificates of Deposit, Loans, and IRAs. Our optional Bill Pay Service (available only through your checking account) lets you pay your bills online.

The system is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day (with some scheduled maintenance periods), showing you the most recent data for account balances, history and other transactions. Your account is updated throughout the day as transactions occur. You can access your account from anywhere with Internet access (access may vary for business accounts), whether that's at home, the office, or on the road!

You can even export your account information to popular money management software programs such as Quicken®.

Monroe Bank's Online Banking is safe and secure. It features password-controlled system entry, a VeriSign-issued Digital ID for the Bank's server, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol for data encryption and a router loaded with a firewall to regulate the inflow and outflow of server traffic.

When you first enroll in Online Banking, we will send you a unique log-in ID and a password. The first time you log in to your account, you'll be prompted to change the password. You may then change your password as frequently as you like.

You can sign up for Online Banking by filling out the Enrollment Form or stopping by one of our banking center locations to enroll in person. You'll need an account with Monroe Bank and Internet access from home or work. That's all.

After enrollment, we will mail you your own personal log-in ID and a temporary password that you will be required to change the first time you log on.

Bill Pay is a FREE service offered to all our Online Banking customers with a checking account. There is no monthly charge and no per transaction fee.

You can pay any type of merchant with Online Bill Pay. Many national companies, plus many local and regional ones, are already listed in the Bill Pay system. If the company you wish to pay is not on the list, you can simply create your own payee and add them to your personal Bill Pay list. It's that easy.

Payees on the pre-selected list need only have the dollar amount entered for each payment; they receive payments electronically. Otherwise, a paper draft is created and mailed to the recipient. The draft indicates that the payment is on your behalf and is to be credited to the account or invoice you indicated when you entered the payee.

Have a recurring payment like a mortgage loan or car payment? You specify the amount, date and frequency, and the system will initiate the payments for you. Our system allows you to set your payments to recur based on your instructions. You can also maintain a list of payees to be paid upon your initiation.

In addition to paying bills via Online Bill Pay, you can also transfer funds between any of your Monroe Bank accounts for things like loan payments. Transfers usually take place on the same business day and are effective immediately. Going to be out of town and want to make a loan payment? No problem, just set up the transfer but post-date it for the transaction date you want.
