Bloomington, Ind. - It has come to the attention of Monroe Bank that the Bank’s name is being used in a phishing scam. Phishing is an attempt to criminally and fraudulently acquire sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords and credit card details, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.
Those receiving the email are advised to delete the email and disregard the message. This email message did NOT originate from Monroe Bank and the phone number within the message is NOT affiliated with Monroe Bank nor is the email address, support@monroebank.com, used as the source of the email.
Monroe Bank assures its customers that their cards and account information is safe and privately maintained as long as they do not respond to the phishing message.
If customers have responded to the phishing email and have called the toll free number listed in this email, please immediately contact the Monroe Bank Call Center at customerservice@monroebank.com or 812-331-3436.
