The long-term health care system is very complex and most people don’t realize how much there is to know. This is also an increasingly important issue for people age 40 and older. The aim of Dukeman’s seminars is to educate participants on becoming knowledgeable consumers regarding their long-term health care needs. Topics of discussion will include:
     · How to protect the assets you’ve built up over a lifetime
     · Understanding the likelihood of needing long-term care
     · Avoiding the burden on your family of arranging for long-term care
     · How to maintain your independence in your later years
     · Evaluate the features and benefits of long-term care insurance
     · Understand the tax advantages of qualified long-term care insurance
     · Differentiating between Medicare coverage and Medicaid coverage
     · How to identify an Indiana Partnership policy

The Indiana Long Term Care Partnership Insurance Program was created in 1987 to provide high quality, affordable long-term care policies for Indiana residents through private insurance companies that allow individuals to protect their assets and give them choices of how to receive long-term care. Dukeman is certified to provide advice and sell Long-Term Care Insurance including the Indiana Partnership plan. She also recently attended the Raymond James Long Term Care Boot Camp, which addressed the many needs and issues of long term care planning as it relates to retirement planning aimed at protecting clients’ assets. In addition to her Long Term Care Insurance certification, Dukeman holds insurance licenses and Series 7 and 63 licenses. She is a graduate of Indiana University and her office is located in Monroe Bank’s College Mall Road banking center in Bloomington.
